      Note: Dates in the late 1740s-early 1750s may appear as "double dates." This is a result of the English/American colonies adopting the Gregorian calendar in 1752. The Gregorian calendar year was slightly longer than the previous Julian calendar, thus skewing the dates by a year, depending on which claendar was in use.
